"Double X" or "XX" - The Female Chromosomes
"The Double X Factor" offers a series of programmes promoting gender balance in the workplace. Gender Balance is not about fair play; neither is it a "women's issue".  Thanks to the participants in the "Influencing Women" Pilot on 17th February for their tremendous energy, enthusiasm & generosity in sharing their experiences with other participants.  The workshop explored the Business Case for better gender balance in the workplace, the research to identify Behaviours, Communication Styles & Barriers, including Stereotypes, that have been shown to affect women's progress, & Theories of Change & Leadership. Participants then developed Personal Goals & an Action Plan to implement change in their lives.  The Feedback was fantastic. Participants said they thoroughly enjoyed the day and were completely engaged throughout. They found it very open, interactive & informative & were confident that the information would be helpful both in general & in dealing with issues at work. They also really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet & share experiences with professionals with different backgrounds experiences & careers.
